Founded in 2019 by the Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (Gathering of Quebec Native Friendship Centres), SIRCAAQ is a non-profit organization dedicated to the design, development, and management of real estate projects for Indigenous populations in urban areas. This initiative stems from the desire to preserve and leverage the expertise accumulated in the field of urban Indigeneity, in order to respond to the growing need for housing in a concrete, innovative, and sustainable manner, all while respecting the cultural and social realities specific to Indigenous populations.
