The SIRCAAQ’s fourth community living environment project will be implemented in Chibougamau, on a plot of land located on 4th Street. The living environment will be adjacent to the Awash Utamet Indigenous daycare center.
The project will welcome Indigenous students and their families who are starting, continuing, or resuming their post-secondary education.
Thoughtfully designed spaces
The community living environment in Chibougamau will be designed in ways that meet the needs students have expressed, such as for collaborative workspaces, consultation offices, outdoor areas for cultural activities.
Housing is allocated based on the study program (duration, level, terms), socioeconomic and family situation, and the applicant’s demonstrated commitment to getting involved and participating in community life.
